Anyone know which laptop cooling pad actually lowers temps without sounding like a jet engine?

I game on a 17-inch laptop that runs hot and the fans are already loud :) I'm looking for a cooling pad that actually drops CPU/GPU temps but will not sound like a leaf blower. Budget around $40-$60, USB-powered only. I've tried a cheap 5-fan pad and it barely changed temps. Tilting the rear with a stand helped a bit, but typing angle got weird. Are there models with larger, slower fans that are quiet yet effective? Bonus points if the LEDs can be turned off.

Why do my Bluetooth headphones keep cutting out on Windows 11?

I’ve re-paired them and updated drivers but the audio still stutters every few minutes, and it’s getting old.

Do I need a heatsink for a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD in a mini-ITX build?

I'm building in a compact case with limited airflow and the motherboard has a thin M.2 shield. For a PCIe 4.0 drive used for gaming and light video edits is the stock shield enough or should I add a taller aftermarket heatsink? I'm trying to avoid thermal throttling without blocking a GPU.

Anyone know can a USB-C hub with HDMI run dual 4K monitors on a MacBook and what specs do I need?

I’m on an M2 MacBook and I want two 4K monitors at 60 Hz from a single USB‑C hub. One monitor is HDMI 2.0 and the other can do DisplayPort but I’d prefer HDMI for both. I’ve tried a cheap hub and only got one 4K60 and the second stuck at 30 Hz. I keep reading about Alt Mode vs DisplayLink and that macOS doesn’t do MST for dual displays. My budget is under $120 and I’d like to keep it plug‑and‑play without driver hassles if possible. Do I need a DisplayLink dock, or is there a USB‑C hub that can drive dual 4K60 over HDMI from this Mac?

Which budget 27-inch 1440p monitor has the clearest text for coding?

Dev here spending 8-10 hours a day staring at code and my eyes are picky about text clarity. Budget is around $200-$300, ideally 27-inch 1440p with an IPS panel. I tried two VA monitors and both had fuzzy text and weird color fringing with subpixel rendering. I switch between a MacBook and a Windows PC, so BGR vs RGB layouts matter. I’d like height adjust, VESA mount, and decent 75-144 Hz if possible. Returned a Lenovo and a Samsung already, so I’m a bit gun-shy. What models have the cleanest text for coding without breaking the bank?

How do I get dual 4K monitors working over a USB-C hub with my laptop?

I need two 4K monitors at 60 Hz from a single USB-C port while still keeping power delivery and a couple of USB-A peripherals. My laptop supports DP Alt Mode but I'm not sure about MST vs DisplayLink and what that means for performance and drivers. I tried a cheap hub and only got one display at 30 Hz which is a headache for text. Space is tight, so I'd prefer one compact dock over multiple adapters. Budget is mid-range, and I'd like to avoid noisy docks. What specs or chipsets should I target to reliably push dual 4K60 without stutter?
