    Is a MagSafe charger supposed to work through a case or do I need a MagSafe case?

    The magnet connection is weak and keeps sliding off on my nightstand. I'm using a slim TPU case that says "MagSafe compatible" but it still misaligns. Do I need a true MagSafe ring or a bare phone for reliable charging?
