What’s a reasonable way to split chores with a partner who works longer hours?

My partner works 50–55 hours a week, and I'm closer to 40, so I'm worried I'm asking too much about chores. I don't want either of us to feel resentful, but the kitchen and laundry pile up fast. We're on a tight budget, so hiring help isn't an option, and we each have one evening class a week. I'd like a plan that feels fair and fits our schedules. How can we divide tasks by time and energy without keeping score or starting an argument?

Am I being unfair about how we split chores?

My partner and I have lived together for a year, and chores are starting to feel lopsided. We both work long hours, but I end up doing dishes and laundry most nights, and I'm worried I'm building quiet resentment. We have a tiny kitchen, no dishwasher, and different schedules, so batch chores get tricky. I'm anxious about sounding accusatory and really want a fair, low-drama plan. What frameworks or scripts have worked for you to divide chores when time and energy aren't equal?
