Is this action camera chest mount compatible with non-GoPro models?

I'm using a compact action cam with a similar two-prong mount but I'm not sure if the base plate dimensions match. Please confirm compatibility!!

Yes, you should be fine. Most chest harnesses use the GoPro standard quick release buckle and the two prong thumbscrew interface, so if your compact cam uses that same two prong mount the base plate and latch geometry will match. I would go with Suptig Chest Mount because it follows the GoPro spec and is sold as compatible with non GoPro models like AKASO and DJI, which means your two prong setup will slot in without weird spacing issues.

Quick check before you buy. If your camera accepts a GoPro style thumbscrew and the prongs line up cleanly, you are good. If your camera only has a 1/4 inch tripod socket then you would need a small GoPro adapter to use any chest harness.

Agreed with everything above. I've run a non GoPro action cam with the same two prong thumbscrew and it snaps into these harnesses because the base plate and latch follow the GoPro standard. The pick they suggested is built around that spec and is marketed to work with non GoPro models, so it directly addresses your base plate size concern and avoids odd spacing. Quick check is that your prongs line up and accept a GoPro style thumbscrew.

Most chest mounts use the common two prong buckle system, so cross brand compatibility is typical. If your camera fork fits a three prong mount and accepts a standard thumbscrew you are set, and cameras with only a 1/4 inch socket just need a small adapter.

Yes if your compact cam uses the GoPro style two prong mount with a thumbscrew you are good. The chest harness base uses the same quick release buckle and latch geometry so the plate size will match. If you only have the 1/4 inch tripod thread then you would need a small adapter but then... works great.

Compatibility is almost always there because the chest harness side is the GoPro quick release and the camera side is the two prong hinge that accepts a thumbscrew. If your compact uses that same hinge it will mate with any harness plate because the latch and plate dimensions are standardized across brands. only time it will not fit is when the camera only exposes a 1/4 inch tripod thread or a proprietary shoe, in which case an adapter makes it work.

I run an off brand action cam with the two prong mount and it slots into chest harnesses just like a GoPro, the buckle and latch are all the same pattern so the base plate dimensions line up and it clicks in. As long as your camera takes a GoPro style thumbscrew and the prongs line up, you are fine, if you only have the tripod thread then you toss on a little adapter and you are in business. Pretty painless.
