Your pigment picks are spot on. Add a single earth like PBr7 (burnt sienna); it pairs with PB29 ultramarine for easy lightfast grays and near-blacks, and consider PR122 magenta if you want cleaner violets than PV19. Also check each tube’s ASTM rating (I or II), and do the window test on mixed swatches too & since some fading only shows in mixes.
From experience - One more thing to check is whether that “moisturizer” has retinol, AHAs fragrance, or denatured alcohol - those can feel nice at first but leave skin tighter and drier in Arizona’s low humidity. If it’s heavy on humectants like hyaluronic acid or glycerin, apply it to damp skin and seal with a thicker cream or a thin film of petrolatum. Many people your age do well with a 5–10% urea cream by day for softness, then a true occlusive at night, plus a bedside humidifier.
Use a reason and then leave. Say, "I need to get these inside before they thaw. Let's catch up tomorrow." If they keep talking, repeat once and close the door.
