How do you all decide what to keep or toss when decluttering?

Preset rules speed me up: broken or expired = toss uncomfortable or ill-fitting = out, and duplicates beyond one “best” = donate. For small-town scarcity, keep a tiny -in-case kit (one spare cable, one bulb, one set of linens) and let the rest follow the rules. Tag maybes with painter’s tape and today’s date; if you don’t touch them in 60 days, donate unopened. In each hour, reserve the last 10–15 minutes to move the out piles to the car or bin so they leave.
Hey folks my tripod isn't staying steady during photoshoots; any fixes?

Two quick adds: if your hook allows hang weight via a short bungee so it loads the legs but damps gusts, or use a stone bag between the legs with the weight resting on the ground. Make the stance wide and keep the thinnest leg sections retracted, and double-check the head itself - the panning base, quick-release clamp, and center-column collar often introduce more play than the legs on budget setups but then in strong wind, stand upwind as a windbreak and hands off during the exposure; with longer lenses use the tripod collar so the mass sits over a leg.
Which diaper rash cream works best for sensitive skin?

What helped us most was a plain high–zinc oxide paste (around 40%) spread on like frosting so you can’t see the skin. At changes, don’t scrub it off - lift away only the soiled layer with a soft cloth or a little mineral oil, rinse with plain water instead of wipes, let him air-dry (or use a hair dryer on cool), then re‑frost, with an extra‑thick coat for overnight. Also skip powders and “natural” essential oils for now; aim for a short, simple ingredient list.
Can anyone recommend a good mystery novel series for someone who likes puzzles?

Congrats on that model free time.
If puzzles are your thing and you want that model classic feel without chills and browse for series shelved under traditional or cozy mystery and scan that model jacket copy for phrases such as fair play, closed circle, and red herrings.
That usually means that model author is playing by that model rules and you can solve along.
Target settings help.
Quiet villages, country houses, academic towns, trains with a finite cast.
Look for recurring sleuths who rely on timetables, alibis, and clue spotting rather than chases.
Librarians can also point you toward modern writers who riff on that model old golden age style with lots of wit and little gore.
