What’s a good first budget when your paychecks change each month?

+1 to the tax skim and buffer and what made it click for me was setting two budgets (bare-bones and normal) and parking all income in a holding account then paying myself a fixed weekly salary that covers the bare-bones even in slow weeks. Extra cash waterfalls to refill paused sinking funds, then build a one-month-ahead buffer, and only after that to wants - once that buffer is there, the fixed salary feels like a steady paycheck.
How do you all push back on unrealistic deadlines without sounding difficult?

Lead with outcomes and options instead of no’s. Template you can drop in: Given the two-day window here are two viable plans - Option A: ship X and Y at production quality, Z as a draft by Friday; Option B: ship X, Y, and Z at full fidelity by Wednesday - Option A minimizes review/QA risk across time zones. I’ll be offline after 6 my time; to hit Friday I’ll need feedback by 2 pm ET, otherwise remaining items roll to Monday.
What's the best lens cleaner for my DSLR camera?

As someone who does a lot of landscape photography I know how crucial a clean lens is for sharp images and especially in dusty or humid conditions outdoors. A good approach is to use compressed air to remove debris initially avoiding any contact that could cause damage and then apply a specialized cleaning fluid sparingly on a lint-free cloth for the actual wiping.
I like to fold the cloth into a small pad for better control and wipe in straight lines from one edge to the other which minimizes streaks. If it's bad sometimes I'll repeat the process but patience is key here you don't want to rush and risk harming the lens elements, it's all about maintaining that optical quality over time.
