Adding one thing - I like this plan - on the bike keep the spin quick and light (about 80–90 rpm) and use the talk test or roughly 60–70% max heart rate to stay easy. Follow a simple 24-hour rule for your knees: mild discomfort during is ok, but it should be back to baseline the next day; if not, repeat the week or shave a few minutes. Every fourth week, hold or reduce time a bit, and consider swapping one ride for a flat park walk to gently build weight-bearing tolerance.
Set the rule cheerfully: 'Evenings are busy, shoot a text first!'. For what it's worth, taking a few minutes to practice this in a calm setting usually helps it stick.
