How do you all push back on unrealistic deadlines without sounding uncooperative?

Anchor it with baseline data and calendar math: historically this takes six weeks and with a 72-hour compliance gate and limited time-zone overlap, the earliest full-scope date is Y. Then offer a clean three-option choice: to keep the two-week date we deliver A and B only, to keep full scope we add Z resources, otherwise we keep scope and land on Y; note the crash risks like accuracy hit and rework. Pre-wire the deciders with the same one-pager and end with explicit assumptions and an escalation trigger, for example if stakeholder signoff slips past Friday we move to Option 3.
What’s a good first budget when your paychecks change each month?

From experience - Co-sign on weekly targets and sinking funds. What helped me was budgeting off a conservative baseline (I use the average of my three lowest months) and treating anything above that as extra that goes first to next month’s bills and then to the emergency fund. If possible keep a separate bills account and move those weekly amounts there after every deposit so everyday spending never touches rent money.
Is it reasonable to ask for a title change without a raise?

Agree it’s reasonable and leading with no comp change lowers friction. I’d add a one-paragraph role scope that maps your work to senior competencies and pair it with 3 quantified outcomes or client quotes to make it concrete. Offer an “Acting Senior” title for a fixed period with explicit conversion criteria, and ask to document the revisit date so it doesn’t get buried in review season.
How do I choose acrylic paints for beginner artists?

When you're just starting with acrylics and look for sets that have a good mix of colors in smaller sizes so you can experiment without committing too much paint at once but then that way and it's easier to manage drying times by only using what you need. For your budget, focus on affordable options that still deliver bright, vivid hues that pop on various surfaces like canvas or wood.
Including brushes in the set is a smart move for beginners; it saves you from buying extras right away. To keep the paint from drying too fast, try working in a humid environment or use a palette that holds moisture. Works great for blending colors smoothly.
Overall, prioritize ease of use - paints that flow well and clean up with water will make your home projects more enjoyable without frustration.
