Hi Kayden. Focus on facts like your task list and timelines. Suggest solutions such as reprioritizing or getting help. That way you sound proactive not incapable.

I agree that moving to a bumper-style case helps with edge tears; when I tried that model the corners held up much better. One caveat is the open back—dust and grit can sneak in, and I ended up with a couple of fine scuffs on the phone even with a screen protector. Also, on a slimmer handset the fit felt a little loose and the button feel got a bit mushy. Still, durability-wise it lasted longer than the thin full-wraps I went through.
Is a MagSafe charger supposed to work through a case or do I need a MagSafe case

What you are describing is a mix of weak magnet coupling and low friction. TPU can be slippery against the puck shell and a tiny bit of dust acts like ball bearings. Cable memory makes it worse.
Clean both surfaces and test with the bare phone to confirm the snap. If the bare phone stays put and the case does not then you need a real that model case to get the holding force back. Or keep that case and switch to a stand style charger where the phone leans so the magnet is not fighting sideways drag.
