How can I fix my hair dryer that's overheating too quickly?

One more thought - Before going inside try pulling off the rear filter screen and washing it and then vacuum or blow from both ends; also check for hair wrapped on the fan shaft if you can see it. Running with a concentrator or diffuser can choke airflow and trip the thermal cutout, so test it on medium heat with no attachments to see if it behaves. If it still overheats that fast, the thermostat or thermal fuse may be failing, and since it’s only a few months old I’d push a warranty exchange rather than risk wiping the delicate heating coil.
Good way to organize family photos across phones and old drives

I've been in a similar spot with family photos scattered everywhere, and Google Photos turned out to be a lifesaver for us. It's free for up to 15GB of storage, works seamlessly on both iPhone and Android, and has built-in tools to sort photos by date and remove duplicates automatically. Start by downloading the app on all your devices, then sign in with the same Google account to upload everything from your phones, laptop, and USB drives. For the old drives, plug them into your laptop and use the Google Photos desktop uploader to batch upload them. It even fixes messy dates by using metadata like when the photo was taken, so your timeline ends up organized chronologically.
To keep costs low and have an offline backup, grab a cheap external hard drive like a 1TB Seagate for around $50 and copy all the originals there before uploading. This way, if the internet goes out, you can still access everything locally on a computer. Share the Google account with your parents for easy viewing, but set up two-factor authentication to keep it secure. We did this for my in-laws, and they love how simple it is to search for photos by face or location without any tech hassle. If you hit the storage limit, you can always upgrade to Google One for a few bucks a month, but starting free should cover most family collections.
Why is my coffee maker leaking water everywhere?

Hey Minji. Oh man and I've had that exact problem with my that model maker before, and it turned out the rubber gasket around the water tank got a little warped during cleaning. Check that out first, maybe give it a gentle push to seat it right, or if it's damaged, you might need a replacement part from the manufacturer.
Sometimes mineral buildup from hard water clogs things up too, so running a vinegar solution through it could help clear that out and stop the leaks. Works great.
If all else fails, descaling regularly prevents a lot of these issues in the long run.
Anyone know is this yarn good for beginner knitting projects?

 Hi Skye!
As someone who's still pretty new to this myself, I honestly gotta say, finding the right yarn made all the difference for my scarf projects. I went with a synthetic blend that was soft but not fuzzy, and it was dirt cheap at the local dollar store knockoff section. Easy to handle, didn't snag on my needles much. The best part? It washes well, so no worries if you spill coffee on your work in progress. I tried a wool one first and it itched like crazy, plus it cost more, so yeah, cheaper options can be way better for starting out so yeah... keep practicing those basic stitches, you'll get the hang of it quick.
Is it normal that my knees sound like popcorn when I squat?

Normal if painless. Do not buy a knee program, subscription app, or fancy sleeves for a sound. Fix the free stuff first like ankle mobility and hip control. Heels flat, knees track over middle toes, sit between your legs instead of collapsing inward. A rolled towel under your heels for a week can teach depth while ankles catch up. If it hurts, stop and see a clinician rather than throwing money at gadgets.
Best way to organize thousands of phone photos so I can actually find things

I live in both ecosystems because of kids photos from school and family. The only way it works is to choose a primary service and disable camera uploads on the other. Do one cleanup pass with duplicate merge and the auto suggestions & then make a single shared album for each kid plus a yearly album for everything else. After that, I delete in the moment and I favorite the one or two shots that tell the story. During pickups I skim the last week and clear bursts, screenshots, and homework junk. It is boring, but it is fast and it sticks.
Quick way to clear photo storage without losing memories?

Set a 20 minute timer and do a lightning sweep: I plug the phone into the laptop, dump everything into a Year-Month folder, and only pause to favorite the true keepers, then clear the camera roll and breathe again. Last Saturday I made tea while the copy bar crawled across the screen, the sun hit the desk just right, and I could almost feel storage coming back like opening a window. Afterward I skim the new folder once, rename a couple shots, and it feels so good I end up cleaning the drawer next to the desk too.
What’s the safest way to start running again after years off?

so I steal 30 minutes right after drop‑off. No gym, no gadgets, just shoes by the door and a cheap kitchen timer. Run‑walk works: 1 minute jog, 2 minutes walk, repeat until 30. Keep it super easy. If I can't say a full sentence, 🤦 I back off. Short strides save my knees more than any miracle shoe.
Warm up is a 5‑minute brisk walk while answering school emails. Cool down is another 5 minutes and a quick calf/hamstring stretch while the pasta boils. Shoes: comfortable, neutral, new enough that the foam isn't dead; I buy last year's model on sale. Rest day walk or 10 minutes of squats, glute bridges, and calf raises while the kids brush teeth. Schedule the three run days on the calendar like appointments. One practical thing that keeps me consistent: lay out clothes and fill the water bottle the night before.
