What’s a fair way to split chores when one partner works longer hours

Think proportional, not equal. If one person works 60 hours and the other 40, aim for a similar ratio on house work and mental load. Establish a baseline of daily essentials you cover when you are home earlier, and assign heavier or weekend tasks to the longer-shift partner's off days. Do a 10 minute weekly check-in to reassign for the coming week and to clear any brewing resentment. Use a visible board so expectations live outside your heads. Protect rest blocks after very long shifts and compensate on the next lighter day.

Make a two-tab sheet — weekly schedule grid and a supplies log with par levels (TP par = 4 rolls, soap par = 1 full). Assign the weekly cleaner on the grid, auto-split receipts in the log, and print the schedule for the door. I color-code by person and set a 12‑minute default; a cheap stick-on timer enforces it better than vibes.

Gamify with rotating roles, color-coded question cards, and post-dinner 'tiny wins' recap. For what it's worth, taking a few minutes to practice this in a calm setting usually helps it stick.
Is this convertible car seat easy to install rear-facing in a small sedan?

Some convertibles take up less space front to back but the shape of your back seat matters too.
If the bench is sloped you may need to adjust the built in foot to bring the recline into the allowed zone and recover front room.
Features like anti rebound bars can add a bit of length in some cars, so check the fit both with and without if your seat allows removal.
Install with the passenger seat set where you want it and make sure the car seat is tight on its own, then confirm the front seat can still move a notch without interference.
Totally doable.
