Solid advice above. If yours fray early lighten your grip, switch to a soft head and a “sensitive”/lower-speed mode, and avoid gritty whitening pastes, which can wear bristles faster; if your handle has a pressure sensor, use it as your cue. Hard water mostly leaves scale, so rinse well, flick off excess water, store upright uncapped, and do a 5–10 minute soak in white vinegar or in 3% hydrogen peroxide once a week (not both), then rinse thoroughly; scraping off mineral crust with a fingernail helps. Also replace sooner after an illness or when the indicator bristles fade and even if that’s before three months.
Hey Dylan!
Keep it low tech with a unit that does one thing well which is steady broadband noise, skip lullabies or flashy lights since stimulation hurts newborn sleep, and choose a simple volume slider that is easier when you are half asleep... Place it on a stable surface a few feet from baby with cords tucked away, and keep any night light dim or off.
