Should I pay extra on my student loans or save for a down payment

Yeah that tracks - I’d front-load the emergency fund: use most of the $400 to get from 2 months to at least 3–4 months quickly, then pivot. After that, send the bulk to the house fund in safe cash, because prepaying federal loans usually won’t help mortgage approval - DTI is based on the monthly payment (and on IDR it won’t drop with extra principal), while hitting better LTV/PMI tiers can. Still drip a small amount to the loans and make sure it goes to principal; after you close, redirect the house savings (and any PMI you avoid or later cancel) to accelerate payoff.

Yeah that tracks - Good call on checking the valve - also try the soapy water trick: inflate it firm, wipe soapy water over the surface, and mark where bubbles appear. Use a proper vinyl patch kit instead of tape - clean with alcohol, lightly roughen, glue and patch, then weight it for 12–24 hours. Also note cool nights can make it feel soft from air contraction; if bubbles show at the valve or along a seam, returning is the best move.
Why is the nonstick coating on my air fryer basket peeling?

From a food safety angle the flakes themselves are not a big hazard. They are inert and most pass through. real concern is that once the base metal is exposed it oxidizes and sticks worse which means more scraping and faster failure.
Do not pick at the edges. If you notice a loose flap you can gently remove what is already detached so it does not end up in dinner, but avoid digging. Let the basket cool before washing to reduce thermal shock. Keep temps moderate for most cooks and avoid long dehydrate or reheat cycles that bake the empty coating. Use parchment with holes or a reusable liner to separate food from the worn area and you will extend its life a lot for very little money.
