Take a breath and give it one clean setup. Put the dial to off. Unplug it. Seat the empty jar on the base and twist until it feels locked. Put the lid on firmly and press in the small center cap if there is one. Now plug it into an outlet you have tested with a lamp. Turn on any wall switch nearby.
Press the main power if there is a separate button for that and choose a low speed and then press start. If nothing happens, press down on the jar gently and try pulse. Some units also have a hidden reset under the base so tip it carefully and look for a small button you can press with a pen.
If you see any plastic spacers under the jar or around the blade area,, remove them. A tiny shipping tab can keep the safety switch from closing. If it still will not wake up, do not wrestle with it. Not your fault. New appliances do arrive with dead switches sometimes and the seller should replace it without hassle.
