Verify device date and time are accurate. Ensure you have free storage and remove large downloads if nearly full. Toggle Airplane mode on then off and then use the app sync or refresh action. Sign out of the library app and your device account, restart, then sign back in. Remove and re add your library card or library account in the app, then refresh Loans. Borrow a different title to test; if that works, return and re borrow the problem book. Turn off VPN or private DNS if enabled and test on a different Wi Fi or a phone hotspot. In app settings clear cache or storage, then open the app and sync again. If the app uses DRM reauthorize your ID by deauthorizing then authorizing again. Update device software and the app, reboot, then sync. Check profile filters such as Kids or maturity settings and disable them temporarily. Deregister the device from your account, then register it again and sync. Confirm the checkout shows on your library web account; if missing redo the checkout. If still failing download the book on a phone with the same account; if it works there but not on the e reader the device setup is at fault; if it fails on both the library service or your account is the cause and you should contact your library.

In my family, we share everything, including space, so I get it. Just be direct and say you need alone time without making it a big deal. It works if you set boundaries early.

In a small place with two people working from home and opposite sleep schedules, two nights is the sweet spot for hosting in-laws without everyone going stir-crazy. Think Friday evening to Sunday late morning so you get one full day together and no one is living out of your living room for half a week. If they want to come midweek, I would cap it at one night or better yet have them stay nearby and meet up for dinners since work hours and early rising will collide with your nights. Build in a buffer day on either side for you and the cat to reset. Script for the invite: "We would love to have you for two nights. With both of us working from home in a small space and a shy cat, that length works best for everyone. Could you arrive after 5 on Friday and head out Sunday before lunch?" If they hint at a longer stay, try this: "We would love more time together, and our place maxes out at two nights. If you want extra days, we can help find a nearby hotel or we can split the cost so we can hang out during the day and give everyone good sleep." Set weekday boundaries clearly: "We are heads down 9 to 5 in the office room, so mornings are quiet time and we will be on calls. Feel free to enjoy a café or a walk." For the schedule mismatch, say, "We tend to sleep late, so before 9 we keep the apartment dim and quiet, and after 10 at night we wind down in the bedroom." And for the cat, "We keep the cat's safe room closed when guests are here, so please keep that door shut and let her come to you." Having a clear departure time in the invite removes weirdness on the last day.

Solid advice above. Two quick adds: after the charger first shows full leave the pack on it another hour so the balancer can finish equalizing cells, which helps prevent that instant under-load cutout, and try the battery on a low-draw tool from the same platform (light, fan) to see if it holds up there; if it does, the drill is the current hog. In the cold, keep a pack in your pocket or with a hand warmer and wake it with a few short, low-speed pulses rather than one long spin to gently bring the cells up to temperature.
