Anyone know why is my new blender making a weird grinding noise and how can I fix it?

I had the same grinding on a new unit and support had me unplug it and hold the power button for ten seconds, which is worth trying first... It did not fully fix mine and I returned it, but the reset might save you a trip.

Hey and I've dealt with this exact issue before on my old dryer, and it turned out the problem was all the built-up gunk inside that I couldn't see by brushing the vents. I took it apart carefully - you know, unscrewed the back if it's possible on yours - and used a soft cloth to wipe down the heating elements gently, making sure not to damage anything. After that, I reassembled it and tested on low heat first. Worked like a charm. If you're not comfy with disassembling, maybe ask a handy friend to help, but it saved me from buying a new one.
remember to unplug it before you start poking around in there. Safety first.
Are waterproof hiking boots actually breathable for summer day hikes?

In hot humid conditions waterproof does not breathe enough to keep up with sweat. Non waterproof mesh mids with thin quick dry socks feel cooler and dry faster after a splash even if they get wet for a few minutes. For ankle deep crossings step lightly and keep water below the cuff, then keep moving so your shoes pump out. If you want some insurance carry a spare pair of socks and change mid day.
