I’ve had luck with a two-option note that sets a default so it doesn’t feel like stonewalling. Example: “Option A (48h): core screens only desktop, light QA; I’ll proceed with this unless you confirm Option B (Fri EOD): full polish including mobile and QA.” I also include a neutral timing rule and hours: “Inputs after 12:00 shift the ETA by the same amount; my work window is 9–5 ET so the 48-hour clock starts when I’m online.”

Aim high in the printed range for stiffness. For 12 to 15 that means 14 to 15 unless you want a softer surf feel. Calibrate your hand pump once against a reliable gauge using a SUP adapter then just pump to that same mark. Hot car or hot sun raises PSI and a plunge into cold water drops it. Done.
