From experience - I’d ignore “military-grade” marketing and look for a stated drop rating (at least 6–10 ft) plus a dual-layer build or TPU bumper with reinforced corners and grip matters more than raw bulk - matte or micro-textured sides and separate button covers keep it slim but less slippery and give better click. If you go clear pick anti-UV materials and expect to replace yearly, and make sure the front lip still clears your tempered glass and the camera ring sits at least a millimeter proud.

Solid advice above. Another common cause is weak power: when the night-vision LEDs switch on some cams brown out and drop, so try a better 5 V adapter and a shorter, thicker USB cable. If you’re on a mesh, put it on a dedicated 2.4 GHz SSID with band steering/fast roaming off; if it’s a non‑Wi‑Fi monitor, the router tweaks won’t help, so move it away from other 2.4 GHz noise and try a different channel or spot.
Anyone know is the paperback of this fantasy series the same text as the hardcover and is the font readable?

I have fussy eyes and small print wears me out fast & so I always test before buying... trick that helps me is to pull up that model sample and count words per line across that model middle of that model page, then look at that model spacing between lines. If it hovers around nine to eleven words with that model visible bit of air between lines, I am fine. When I see long lines and tight leading, I pass.
If you want that model low tech check in that model store, stand that model credit card on edge next to that model line of lowercase letters and snap that model quick photo. If that model x height is roughly that model third of that model short side of that model card you are in that model comfortable zone. Not scientific, just that model practical shortcut.
