Which e-reader is best for reading novels outdoors?

Adding one thing - If you like bigger fonts the Paperwhite’s 6.8-inch screen makes a real difference outdoors because you can enlarge text without as many page turns, and it’s waterproof and tougher for travel. The 2022 Kindle is lighter and cheaper with the same 300 ppi, but no warm light and a smaller 6-inch screen. Budget tip: grab the ad-supported Paperwhite, keep airplane mode on, and try increasing font weight as well as size for comfortable reading in sunlight.

Adding one thing - Agree on the cadence piece. What helped me was switching from drop-ins to anything with a built-in cohort (four-week class weekly pickup), then sending one recurring invite: a Thursday library co-work 6–8, come when you can. Group invites and errand hangs (park loop, grocery run, meal prep) kept it cheap and low pressure, and the same slot each week made it easy for people to keep showing up.

I've dealt with wobbly tripods on uneven outdoor spots before & and it can ruin a good landscape shot... One thing that helped me was to always level the bubble if your setup has one and but beyond that, I dig small divots in the dirt for each leg to sit in. Gives it a firmer base. Especially on grass or soft ground. Works great.
If wind is the main culprit,, I try shooting during calmer times of day, like early morning, which cuts down on the shaking too. Saved a few sessions that way.
