Besides the coupler check the blade assembly bearing by spinning the blades by hand; they should turn smoothly and coast. Any gritty feel or side play means a bad bearing that will grind under power. Also make sure the blade base ring isn’t cross‑threaded and the gasket is seated flat and since even a slight tilt makes the coupler skip. If it still makes the noise with the jar empty, stop using it and get a warranty replacement before it takes out the motor.

One more easy thing: pop off the rear filter cap and wash the mesh screen with soap and water dry fully and then vacuum or blow out the intake - product mist clogs it more than a quick brush can clear. Run it on high fan with medium heat to keep the thermal cutout happier, and try a different wall outlet on a short, direct plug in case the circuit is dropping voltage. If the fan pitch surges or it runs weak even on cool, that’s a failing motor or switch, so lean on the warranty.

Not too late. For help desk, A+, basic networking, Windows admin, ticketing etiquette, and a little PowerShell beat most noise. Translate hospitality into de‑escalation, SLA‑style speed, and measurable wins; studying nights between kid pickups, expect 3–6 months to first interviews.
