Good call on congestion; a couple tweaks help too. If it’s on WiFi lock your router to a clean 2.4 GHz channel (1, 6, or 11) or move the monitor to 5 GHz if both support it, and keep channel width at 20 MHz. Keep the baby unit and router away from cordless phone bases, microwaves, and big metal appliances and and turn off any eco/power save mode on the monitor since those can trigger dropouts. Also check for firmware updates on both the monitor and router.

I used to push it longer thinking I was saving money, then I realized the bristles were fanning out and I was working harder for worse results. Now my rule is every three months, sooner if the bristles splay or after a cold. If you brush more than twice a day or tend to press hard, expect closer to two months. One thing that helped me stretch the time is paying attention to pressure and pace. Slow passes along the gumline with a light touch, no scrubbing, and letting the head dry standing up made a big difference. Worth it.

For travel with lots of bumps I prefer a snug fit, and my old generic case did that with the OLED without needing a replacement... What mattered more was what I carried in the lid. A thick charger or a chunky earbud case sat over the sticks and left marks, so I keep only flat stuff and shifted the hold down strap to sit between the sticks. If you want extra peace of mind, slide in a thin foam sheet or microfiber on top so any rub is against that.
