Which e-reader is best for someone with poor eyesight and does it have adjustable font sizes?

At my age, 64 reading has become a bit of a challenge with my eyesight not being what it used to be. I love books, but the small print in paperbacks strains my eyes after a while. My granddaughter suggested getting an e-reader from Amazon to make things easier. I've tried squinting and using reading glasses, but they slip off, and it's uncomfortable. I need something with big font options and maybe a backlight that isn't too harsh. Budget-wise, I don't want to spend more than $150, as I'm on a fixed income. Last time I tried one at the store, the screen was too glarey in sunlight, and I like reading on my porch. Has anyone my age found a good e-reader that helps with vision issues? I'd appreciate any recommendations.

Which e-reader is best for reading novels outdoors?

I've been an avid reader for years but my old e-reader finally broke after a drop. Now, I need a replacement that works well in sunlight since I love reading in the park. Budget is under $150, and it has to have a long battery life. I tried fixing the old one with tape and but the screen is cracked beyond repair. Portability is key because I travel a lot. Any recommendations from Amazon? I prefer something with adjustable font sizes for my eyes.

Anyone know which e-reader is best for reading in bed without straining my eyes and does it have adjustable lighting?

Forum folks and I'm trying to get back into reading before bed but my old tablet's screen is too bright and hurts my eyes after a while. Looking for an e-reader that's easy on the eyes with some kind of built-in light that I can dim. Any recommendations on models that won't break the bank? I've been browsing Amazon but can't decide.

Why won't this mystery novel series load on my e-reader even after multiple tries?

I recently bought a whole mystery series on Amazon for my Kindle but it's not loading properly no matter what I do. First off, my e-reader is a bit older, and I updated the software last week thinking that might help, but nope. My internet connection is fine since other books download okay, but this series just hangs. I've tried restarting the device several times and even deleted and re-downloaded the files. Budget-wise, I don't want to buy a new reader if I can avoid it. It's frustrating because I was really looking forward to binge-reading these. Are there any specific settings I should check?

Anyone know hey guys my e-reader keeps freezing during use, any fixes?

I've had this e-reader for about a year now and it was perfect for reading on my long commutes & but lately, it freezes up midway through chapters. I rely on it because physical books take up too much space in my bag, and I can't always access my phone's battery for reading apps. I've tried restarting it multiple times and even did a factory reset once, but the issue persists, especially with larger files. Storage is almost full, but I've deleted some books. I'm limited to Wi-Fi at home for updates since data is expensive. Any troubleshooting steps or settings I might have missed?

Why won't my e-reader connect to Wi-Fi anymore and what steps can I take to troubleshoot it?

I've had this e-reader for a couple of years and it used to connect to my home Wi-Fi just fine for downloading new books. But recently and it keeps saying 'connection failed' no matter what I do. I've tried restarting it and forgetting the network, then adding it back, but that didn't help. My router is working because my phone connects okay, so it's got to be the DEVICE itself. We have a small apartment, so signal strength shouldn't be an issue. I even updated the software through USB, but still no luck. This is frustrating since I rely on it for my daily reading. Any suggestions on what else to try before I buy a new one?
